WGF is focused on building broad-based coalitions to achieve gender equity through public policy, public action, and public dialogue.
Some examples of WGF Coalitions from 2004 - 2005 include:
- Bring Your Kids to Vote a non-partisan campaign encouraging women to
bring their children with them to the polls. - International Women’s Day docent tours of women artists’ work in the Carnegie International at the Carnegie Museum of Art.
- The Status of Women in SWPA Report a county-by-county analysis researched by WGF and Chatham College’s Regional Women’s Initiative.
- Pennsylvanians for Fair Representation a coalition of over 60 organizations
pursuing gender equity legislation at the city, county, and state levels. - Celebration of Women in Science at the Carnegie Science Center honoring
women in our region who are engaged in innovative and dynamic work in
the sciences.
