FIRST
Think about a fabulous project to improve the lives of girls in your community.
We are particularly interested in breaking down gender stereotypes and in creating new opportunities for girls right here in Southwest PA. We are interested in girl-led programs that:
• Encourage community dialogues that challenge stereotypes
• Promote unity and diversity in the female community
• Consider gender in relation to race, sexual orientation & socio-economics
• Develop prevention initiatives run by girls for girls (e.g. pregnancy, abuse, rape)
• Advocate for increased girls’ rights and opportunities in Allegheny, Fayette, Greene and Washington Counties!
NEXT
Form a team of other teens to help you plan your project and get an adult advisor.
THEN
Download the grant application and apply for funds. (Make sure you meet all of the requirements, found here.)
FINALLY
The application deadline for Fayette, Greene, and Washington counties has been extended to Tuesday, December 1st. (No additional applications will be accepted from Allegheny county at this time.) Click here for application. Please submit applications to:
