Women & Girls Foundation Regional Change Agents are small teams of adults and girls from Allegheny, Fayette, Greene, and Washington counties. Each county team will design, lead, and implement social change projects that tackle issues related to women & girls equality in their own community, and WGF provides the tools and support teams need to make change. Teen participants will also award grant dollars to girl-led projects in their own community, while adult participants will receive negotiation training and the tools to train other women in the art of negotiation.
We, as high school and middle school students, understand that teens these days may not have a lot of money. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t all be philanthropists.
“All people who exert themselves for the well-being of others;
who engage in practical and heartfelt benevolence; who
donate money and time to causes they believe in so that
the world may become a better place. ”
~ Oxford English Dictionary definition of a philanthropist
So a philanthropist could give $1 or a million. And it’s not all about the money either, even if that’s the first thing most people think of when they think of donating or charity. You could donate your time, or resources like computers or space you might have to further any kind of cause.
